Starting with the Yew in episode 1, and moving on to Ash, Oak, Willow and coming up next Sycamore, Fiona Stafford explores the history, folklore, symbolism and medicinal uses of these five British trees.

Saving Species is another great programme. The most recent episode 15 (of Series 3) discusses rewilding – allowing areas of land to change over time as it will, with much less or no management, letting wildlife like beavers get on with transforming habitats for the benefit of other species.
